Oh, the Places You’ll Go
I started this blog in 2017 when we spent 4 months traveling the world. As we continue to add adventures to our lives I will update the blog with the places we go to.
In May 2018 we left Denmark again to start a new life in Australia. While waiting for the visa we travelled for 3 months, mainly in Indonesia. Then in August 2018 we arrived in Sydney, Australia. And it is from here you will read my current stories. Thoughts about moving to another country with a couple of suitcases, and visiting places as both a tourist and with time as a local.
Below is the itinerary for our 4 month trip in 2017. You can read about this trip on my blog – just search for the category ‘4 months around the world’.
We chose the places carefully, with a main focus on safety for our kids as well as a little bit of adventure. But the real next-level travel we will save for later 😉 However, we did manage to include two Tongan islands, which I very much look forward to – Tonga is the least developed country we will visit. A small kingdom of charm! The rest of the places are more developed, but nevertheless they include some of the most amazing nature wonders of the world. When people ask me what the most beautiful place I have been to is, I always say Banff and Jasper National parks in Canada.
PS. True, it’s a bit corny, but nevertheless an amazing quote, by Dr. Seuss.
The thing I like the best about this quote is the fact that we are all responsible for our own lives, and we all need to make the most of it ourselves. So here you go:
Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You’re off to Great Places!
You’re off and away!
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.
And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go.
